Tokenized stock trading surged as the market for tokenized real-world assets, or RWAs, expanded rapidly.
Wu Blockchain said in a May 10 post on X, citing CoinGecko data, that spot trading volume in tokenized stocks reached $15.12 billion in the first quarter. That topped the $14.84 billion recorded during the whole of the second half of 2025.
The overall tokenized RWA market also expanded तेजी. Market capitalization grew to $19.32 billion at the end of the first quarter from $5.42 billion at the start of 2025, marking growth of 256.7% over roughly 15 months.
Spot trading volume in tokenized gold reached $90.7 billion in the first quarter, already exceeding the full-year total for 2025. RWA-based perpetual futures volume also climbed to $524.79 billion in the first quarter, far above the $313.02 billion recorded for all of last year.
